Clay leaves, thistledown. Size: 300 X 300 X 5 cm
A short stay, residency, of 5 days at the beautiful space of the Kunstkapel during summer.
This installation is a reaction to the space. The architecture, such as the windows, light and centric form influenced the work. That combined with the cool quality of the space during a hot summer is the basis for the work Zefier.
Zefier refers to the cool, soft, summer wind. Here it becomes visible through leaves. Some leaves were covered in thristledown, coming from a purple thistle, a local plant that grew outside.
The work was also formed through an unfortunate event.
